Flint is powered by a lithium-ion battery whereas a traditional lighter usually uses butane as its energy source.

Flint is rechargeable so you can use it over and over again unlike most butane lighters which are ready for disposal once the fuel source is depleted. 

Using the battery as an energy source, when ignited a high-voltage electrical current passes between two nodes to create an arc.

Flint can be used in place of your existing lighter to light a candle wick, gas stove or BBQ etc.

Place the material you are lighting across the arc to transfer the heat. Just be mindful of where you store your Flint, it should be kept away from high temperatures. 

Flint can ignite at least 150 times on a single charge. 

Only charge Flint when the battery is completely dead. Once connected to power the indicator light at the base of the device will become visible. This light will automatically turn off once Flint is fully charged.

A full charge will take approximately 2 hours, be sure to disconnect Flint from charging once the charge is complete as overcharging will affect battery life.

Residue can build up on the tip of the lighter which can affect performance. If this happens, gently clean the prongs and tip with a dry cloth. Ensure there is no residue at all times to get the best out of your Flint.
